A. C. Haskins

A. C. Haskins is an American author of military fantasy and science fiction. A former U.S. Army officer and combat veteran, he later became an economist and business strategist before turning his lifelong interest in speculative fiction into a writing career; he wrote his first science-fiction novel as a high-school class project. He is best known for the Soldier of the Arcanum series, beginning with Blood and Whispers (2021) and continuing with Blood and Fate (2025), and has also contributed short fiction to the Freehold shared-universe anthologies. Haskins draws on his military background and interests in ancient and medieval history, mythology, and tabletop gaming in his combat-focused storytelling. He lives in Michigan with his wife, son, and pets.
