A. F. Steadman

A. F. Steadman is the pen name of Annabel Steadman, a British author born in 1992 who studied law and later creative writing at Cambridge. She writes middle-grade fantasy centered on the Skandar series, which reimagines unicorns as fierce, bloodthirsty creatures bonded to young riders competing to join an elite order. Her debut, Skandar and the Unicorn Thief (2022), secured a seven-figure, three-book publishing deal and film rights from Sony before its release, and the series has continued with sequels including Skandar and the Phantom Rider.
