Aaron Johnston

Aaron Johnston is an American science fiction author, comics writer, and film producer best known for co-writing the Ender's Game prequel novels with Orson Scott Card. Their First Formic War trilogy -- Earth Unaware, Earth Afire, and Earth Awakens -- and the follow-up Second Formic War books The Swarm and The Hive chronicle humanity's earlier conflicts with the alien Formics referenced in Ender's Game. Johnston also co-wrote comic-book adaptations of Card's fiction for Marvel, including Ender in Exile and Speaker for the Dead, and served as an associate producer on the 2013 Ender's Game film, in which he also made a cameo appearance. He met Card through their shared religious community and has collaborated with him across multiple media for over a decade.
