Adrienne Kress

Adrienne Kress is a Canadian author and actress born in 1980 in Toronto, Ontario. She writes children's and young adult fiction, beginning with the adventure novel Alex and the Ironic Gentleman, which won the UK's Heart of Hawick Children's Book Award and earned a Red Cedar nomination in Canada, and continuing with the sequel Timothy and the Dragon's Gate, an Audie Award nominee. Her other work includes the steampunk adventure The Friday Society and The Explorers series. More recently, Kress has co-written tie-in fiction for major game franchises, including several Bendy and the Ink Machine novels and, with creator Scott Cawthon, Five Nights at Freddy's: Return to the Pit. Film rights to Alex and the Ironic Gentleman were optioned by The Weinstein Company.
