Aidan Harte

Aidan Harte is an Irish novelist and bronze sculptor who lives in Kildare, Ireland. Alongside his sculpture practice, he has written three novels and a children's history book, and has directed a television production. His best-known work is the Wave Trilogy—Irenicon, The Warring States, and Spira Mirabilis—an alternate-history fantasy set in a Renaissance Italy transformed by a river-controlling magical order, blending engineering, politics, and myth in a world reshaped by a great flood centuries earlier. Harte, born in 1979 in Kilkenny, divides his creative work between sculpture and fiction, bringing a sculptor's attention to physical detail and craft into his richly imagined historical fantasy setting.
