Al Ewing

Al Ewing (born 1977) is a British comics writer who began in small-press and 2000 AD publishing before becoming a major contributor to Marvel and DC Comics, writing acclaimed runs including The Immortal Hulk, a 2019 Eisner Award nominee for Best Continuing Series, Loki: Agent of Asgard, and The Ultimates. Alongside his comics career he has written prose fiction, including the steampunk El Sombra trilogy, following a masked Mexican folk hero against steam-powered Nazi forces, the satirical superhero novel The Fictional Man, and Judge Dredd tie-in fiction for the Year One series. His work on the crossover event Empyre won a GLAAD Media Award, and he continues to move fluidly between creator-owned prose and major superhero franchises.
