Alechia Dow

Alechia Dow is an American author of young adult and middle-grade speculative fiction. She is best known for The Sound of Stars, a science-fiction romance about a girl who befriends an alien occupier through a shared love of music, and its companion novel The Kindred, a finalist for the Ignyte Award for Outstanding Novel - Young Adult. Her middle-grade fantasy Just a Pinch of Magic was a finalist for the Ignyte Award for Outstanding Middle Grade, and her romantic fantasy Until the Clock Strikes Midnight reimagines Cinderella through a competition between guardian angels and their human charges. She has also written the novel A Song of Salvation. Dow's fiction blends genre premises with warmth and humor, and interests in food, travel, and music often surface in her characters' worlds.
