Alexandra Bracken

Alexandra Bracken is an American author of young adult fiction, born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1987 and a magna cum laude graduate of the College of William & Mary. She worked in children's publishing in New York before her college-era debut novel, Brightly Woven, drew notice, and found wider success with The Darkest Minds (2012), a dystopian thriller about children who develop dangerous powers after a mysterious epidemic; the series was adapted into a 2018 film. She followed it with the time-travel Passenger duology, both volumes debuting at number one on the New York Times bestseller list, and the mythological adventure Lore. She has also written a Star Wars novelization and continues the Darkest Minds world in the Silver in the Bone series.
