Allison Saft

Allison Saft is an American author of romantic fantasy, born in Philadelphia in 1993 and educated at Tulane University. Her novels are known for their gothic atmosphere and enemies-to-lovers plotting, beginning with her debut Down Comes the Night (2021) and continuing with A Far Wilder Magic (2022), A Fragile Enchantment (2024), and A Dark and Drowning Tide (2024), several of which reached the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. Wings of Starlight (2025) became a number-one New York Times bestseller. Her books have also received multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards for their audiobook narrations. Saft's fiction favors richly atmospheric settings, morally prickly romantic leads, and fairy-tale or fable structures reworked with a darker edge.
