Alyssa Day is a pen name of American author Alesia Holliday, a former trial lawyer (J.D., Capital University Law School, 1995) who left legal practice for full-time fiction. Under her own name she writes romantic comedy and mystery, while as Alyssa Day she is known for paranormal romance, most notably the Warriors of Poseidon series about the exiled warriors of a sunken Atlantis, along with its continuation Poseidon's Warriors and related series such as Cardinal Witches, Tiger's Eye Mysteries, and The League of the Black Swan. She has also published young adult fiction as Jax Abbott. Holliday won a 2006 RITA Award from Romance Writers of America for Best Romance Novella.
