Amanda Foody

Amanda Foody is an American author of young adult fantasy who lives in Philadelphia. She writes richly imagined secondary-world fantasy blending gaslamp intrigue, invented magic systems, and large ensemble casts, beginning with the con-artist fantasy Ace of Shades (2018) and its Shadow Game sequels. She is best known for All of Us Villains (2021), co-written with Christine Lynn Herman, a dark-academia fantasy in which seven bloodline families compete in a deadly, generations-long magical tournament; it was named Amazon's Best Young Adult Book of 2021 and continued in All of Our Demise (2022) and the prequel The Ever Storms (2023). She also writes the middle-grade Wilderlore series. Her novels have appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
