Amanda Sun is a Canadian author born in Deep River, Ontario. She is known for the Paper Gods series, beginning with Ink (2013) and continuing through Rain, Storm, and Shadow, a young-adult fantasy series set in Japan. Ink was a finalist for the 2014 Aurora Award for Best YA Novel, Canada's national science-fiction and fantasy award, alongside works by fellow Canadian writers Kelley Armstrong and S. M. Beiko. Sun also wrote Heir to the Sky, a companion novel set in the same fantasy world; the series was published in North America by Harlequin Teen, the young-adult imprint of the Harlequin publishing house.
