Amy Ewing

Amy Ewing is an American author of young adult fantasy, born in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. She is best known for The Lone City trilogy, a dystopian fantasy series that opens with The Jewel (2014) and continues with The White Rose and The Black Key, following a teenage protagonist navigating a rigidly stratified society built around a wealthy ruling class. She followed it with the Cerulean duology, comprising The Cerulean (2019) and The Alcazar (2020), a fantasy about a girl who falls from a floating sky-city into the world below. Ewing's fiction centers on class division and young women contending with societies built to control them.
