Andrea K. Höst is an Australian author of self-published science fiction and fantasy. Her Touchstone trilogy, opening with Stray, follows a schoolgirl who falls through a portal into an alien world and must adapt to survive among its inhabitants and their technology. Her Medair duology, including The Silence of Medair, follows a mage who wakes centuries after failing to save her homeland from war. Höst has been a finalist for Australia's Aurealis Awards multiple times, including for The Silence of Medair in the best fantasy novel category and for And All the Stars in both the best young-adult and best science-fiction novel categories. Writing and publishing independently rather than through traditional houses, she has built a loyal readership across further series including Eferum and Darest.
