Anna Stephens

Anna Stephens writes grimdark fantasy, best known for the Godblind trilogy, which follows warring nations and a violent religious cult through brutal, morally ambiguous conflict, beginning with Godblind and continuing through Darksoul and Bloodchild. Her Songs of the Drowned series, including The Stone Knife and The Jaguar Path, draws on Mesoamerican-inflected world-building for a similarly dark, war-focused epic fantasy. Stephens has also written tie-in fiction for Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar setting, including Gothghul Hollow, and contributed to the Legends of Asgard series.
