Antonia Hodgson

Antonia Hodgson is a British novelist and former publisher, born in 1971 in Derby, England. She spent two decades in book publishing, rising to editor-in-chief at Little, Brown Book Group, before turning to writing full-time. She made her name with a quartet of historical crime novels set in Georgian England, beginning with A Devil in the Marshalsea (2014), which won the Crime Writers' Association's Historical Dagger, followed by The Last Confession of Thomas Hawkins, A Death at Fountains Abbey, and The Silver Collar. In 2025 she published her first fantasy novel, The Raven Scholar, opening the Eternal Path trilogy; the book was shortlisted for the Hugo Award and the Compton Crook Award for best first novel.
