Arthur Byron Cover

Arthur Byron Cover is an American science fiction author born in 1950 in Grundy, Virginia. A graduate of the influential 1971 Clarion Writers' Workshop, he made his debut with the Nebula Award-nominated novel Autumn Angels, a satirical, comic vision of far-future humanity that critics compared to Kurt Vonnegut and Harlan Ellison. He followed it with The Platypus of Doom and Other Nihilists and Planetfall, and later wrote extensively in media tie-in fiction, including a Flash Gordon novelization, Isaac Asimov's Robot City entries, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels such as Night of the Living Rerun. Beyond prose fiction, Cover has written for numerous 1980s and 1990s animated television series, including The Transformers and The Real Ghostbusters.
