Barb Hendee

Barb Hendee is an American fantasy author who co-writes with her husband, J. C. Hendee, most notably their long-running Saga of the Noble Dead, a dark fantasy series following a con-artist duo posing as vampire hunters who become entangled in real supernatural threats across multiple phases and spin-off sequences such as the related Mist-Torn Witches. On her own, Hendee also writes the Vampire Memories series, beginning with Blood Memories in 1999 and continuing through several sequels tracing a woman's fractured, centuries-spanning vampiric past. Her fiction consistently returns to vampires, witches, and morally ambiguous protagonists operating at the edges of respectable society. Hendee's career spans more than two decades of genre fiction, built largely on her long creative partnership with her husband.
