Barbara Bretton (born 1950 in New York City) is an American romance novelist who built her career in Harlequin and Silhouette category romance, contributing to multi-author anthology series alongside writers such as Debbie Macomber and Rita Clay Estrada in the 1980s and 1990s. She later combined romance with fantasy in the Sugar Maple Chronicles, including Casting Spells, Laced with Magic, and Spun by Sorcery, and earlier wrote a time-travel romance sequence collected as the Barbara Bretton Time Travel Trilogy, featuring novels such as Destiny's Child and Somewhere in Time. In the late 2010s she returned to time-travel romance with a trio of novellas, Enraptured, Entangled, and Enchanted.
