Barbara Siegel

Barbara Siegel is an American writer who worked for decades in close collaboration with her husband, Scott Siegel, producing tie-in fiction and gamebooks across multiple media franchises. The pair wrote installments of Ballantine's Find Your Fate series, including entries for G.I. Joe and James Bond, and contributed Tanis: The Shadow Years to TSR's Dragonlance Preludes sequence, in which the half-elf Tanis journeys into an old mage's memories to fulfill his dying wish. The Siegels also wrote extensively in horror and adventure gamebooks and series fiction for younger readers, including the Ghostworld, Firebrats, and Wizards, Warriors and You lines. Their prolific joint output made them familiar names in young-reader series fiction of the 1980s and '90s.
