Ben Jeapes

Ben Jeapes is a British science-fiction writer, born in 1965 in Belfast, who studied philosophy and politics at the University of Warwick and lives in Abingdon-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. He began writing science fiction at eighteen and has published more than a dozen novels and over eighteen short stories. His debut, His Majesty's Starship (1998, published in the United States as The Ark), depicts rival Earth nations competing to colonize a newly discovered world, and he followed it with the alternate-history novel The New World Order (2004) and the space opera Phoenicia's Worlds (2013). Jeapes also ghostwrote the first three books of the Vampire Plagues series under the collective pseudonym Sebastian Rook.
