Ben S. Dobson

Ben S. Dobson is a Canadian fantasy author from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, who describes himself as "a writer, and above all, a nerd." His love of storytelling began in childhood, staging playground versions of franchises like Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles, and carried into an adult fondness for tabletop role-playing games and video games that still shapes his fiction. He is best known for the Magebreakers series, a fantasy detective story pairing a rogue mage with a skeptical constable, and for The Windwalker Legacy, beginning with The Swampling King. His earlier novel Scriber, set in the world of Kingsland, established the irreverent, adventure-driven tone that runs through his later work.
