Brian M. Sammons

Brian M. Sammons is an American editor and writer working in Lovecraftian and weird fiction. He serves as managing editor of weird fiction at Dark Regions Press, where he has edited numerous Cthulhu Mythos anthologies, often in partnership with fellow editor Glynn Owen Barrass, including The Children of Gla'aki, a tribute collection built around Ramsey Campbell's creation, and Steampunk Cthulhu and Atomic-Age Cthulhu, which transplant Mythos horror into alternate historical settings. Sammons also contributes original short fiction to the anthologies he edits and has interviewed genre authors such as Jeff Strand and W. H. Pugmire for Dark Regions Press. His projects, recognized among ENnie Award winners in 2019, span tie-in universes including Herbert West: Reanimator and Punktown, reflecting a career built around curating and expanding shared horror mythologies rather than standalone novels.
