Brian Trent is an American writer of science fiction and horror born in Waterbury, Connecticut. His short fiction has appeared widely in genre magazines and anthologies, including collections from Flame Tree Publishing alongside writers such as Bram Stoker Award winner John Everson. He is the author of the far-future novel Ten Thousand Thunders and its sequel Redspace Rising, and has contributed to John Ringo's shared-universe series Black Tide Rising, writing original short fiction set in that world as well as the novel Perdition's Storm and, with Chuck Dixon, the graphic novel adaptation Black Tide Rising: The Graphic Novel.
