Bruce Blake

Bruce Blake is a Canadian author of dark fantasy. He is best known for two connected series: The Small Gods, including On Unfaithful Wings, All Who Wander Are Lost, and The Darkness Comes, which follows a death-goddess-turned-mortal seeking to reclaim her power, and its spin-off Icarus Fell, an urban-fantasy series about a reaper of souls navigating the afterlife's bureaucracy in the modern world, beginning with When Shadows Fall and Backroads and Alleyways. He also wrote the Khirro's Journey trilogy, starting with Blood of the King, a soldier's quest fantasy involving a cursed royal bloodline. Blake's fiction blends grim, morally ambiguous fantasy premises with contemporary urban-fantasy tone shifts.
