Bryan Young

Bryan Young is an American writer, filmmaker, and blogger, born in 1980. A lifelong Star Wars fan who camped out for film premieres in his youth in Provo, Utah, he has written essays and freelance pieces for Marvel comics and Star Wars Insider, and is an honorary member of the 501st Legion costuming group. Young co-founded the geek news and review site Big Shiny Robot! and has written for the BattleTech shared universe, including the novel Honor's Gauntlet, which won the Diamond Quill Award in 2021. His other fiction includes the self-published novels The Aeronaut, The Serpent's Head, and Operation: Montauk, along with the Athena's Daughters series. As a filmmaker, his short film 3 1/2 Stars won a Best Writing award at the Helper Film Festival. Young's career spans tie-in fiction, original genre novels, journalism, and independent filmmaking.
