Carol Hightshoe

Carol Hightshoe is an American writer and editor of science fiction and fantasy, born in Texas in 1964. A lifelong love of Star Trek drew her into the genre as a young reader, and her working life ranged widely before she turned to fiction full time: she has been a veterinary-clinic receptionist, a deputy sheriff in El Paso County, Colorado, and a staffer for the Professional Bull Riders and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. She writes the Chaos series, including Call of Chaos, Chaos Embraced, and The Road Into Chaos, and edits the anthology series The Dragon's Hoard and Full-Throttle Space Tales. Beyond her own fiction, published in outlets including Baen's Universe and Tales of the Talisman, she runs WolfSinger Publications and edits the online magazine The Lorelei Signal. She now lives in Brackettville, Texas.
