Catherine Egan

Catherine Egan is a Canadian author born in Vancouver who writes fantasy for both young-adult and adult readers. Her Witch's Child trilogy, comprising Julia Vanishes, Julia Defiant, and Julia Unbound, follows a young woman with the magical ability to make herself unseen as she navigates a corrupt, magic-haunted city; Julia Vanishes was a finalist for the Sunburst Award and the Amy Mathers Teen Book Award. She also wrote the Last Days of Tian Di trilogy, beginning with Bone, Fog, Ash & Star, a portal fantasy blending Chinese-inflected mythology with contemporary settings, and more recently The Factory, a duology including The Experiment.
