Charles Ogden

Charles Ogden is the author of the Edgar & Ellen series, a run of illustrated middle-grade novels about mischievous twelve-year-old orphaned twins who terrorize their saccharine hometown of Nod's Limbs. Published by Simon & Schuster between 2003 and 2009, the series comprises six core novels—including Rare Beasts, Tourist Trap, Under Town, Pet's Revenge, Nod's Limbs, and Frost Bites—followed by the further Edgar & Ellen Nodyssey trilogy, which continued the twins' story with Split Ends and Hot Air. The twins' names allude to Edgar Allan Poe. The books spawned an animated short in 2006 and a weekly Nicktoons television series in 2007–2008, and the property was translated and published internationally.
