Charlotte E. English

Charlotte E. English is a British fantasy author who lives in the Netherlands and writes what she calls "feelgood fantasy." She is autistic and identifies as asexual, and her fiction reflects a lifelong interest in history and games. She is known for the Draykon series, an epic fantasy trilogy, the whimsical Wonder Tales collection, the Regency-inflected Tales of Aylfenhame, and the darker Malykant Mysteries, a fantasy detective series. English also writes Modern Magick and has contributed original short fiction to Mercedes Lackey's long-running Valdemar anthology series. Her books are typically warm, cozy, and lightly humorous, favoring found-family relationships and gentle worldbuilding over grimdark stakes.
