Chris Anne Wolfe (1961-1997) was an American author of lesbian fantasy and romance fiction. Raised in rural New York, she held a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and eventually settled in Los Angeles. Before her death from cancer in July 1997, she published four novels: the Amazon adventure novels Fires of Aggar and Shadows of Aggar, part of her Amazons of Aggar series, and the romantic fantasies Roses and Thorns, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and Annabel and I. Further Amazons of Aggar volumes, including Sands of Aggar, Oceans of Aggar, Bonds of Aggar, and the collection Talismans & Temptations, were published posthumously from her unfinished work. Wolfe was an early voice in lesbian genre fiction, remembered by friends worldwide after her death.
