Chris Evans

Chris Evans is a Canadian-born fantasy author and military historian who lived for years in Ottawa before settling in New York City. He is best known for the Iron Elves quartet -- Of Bone and Thunder, A Darkness Forged in Fire, The Light of Burning Shadows, and Ashes of a Black Frost -- published by Simon & Schuster. Evans holds degrees in English, history, and political science, including a master's specializing in military history, and leads annual battlefield tours of European campaigns; his author website includes a section devoted to Vietnam War veterans. He worked in editorial roles at major publishing houses before turning to writing fiction full-time in 2013.
