Chris Pourteau is an American author of science fiction, post-apocalyptic, and fantasy who began writing seriously in the mid-2010s, drawing on influences from The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Stephen King, and J.R.R. Tolkien. He is best known for The SynCorp Saga, a corporate-war science fiction series co-written with David Bruns, along with its companion arcs, including War for Empire and Tales of B-Company. His post-apocalyptic work includes The Serenity Strain and stories set in the zombie-overrun Hit World. Beyond his own fiction, Pourteau edits anthologies, co-founded Sci-Fi Bridge, a platform connecting science fiction writers with readers, and is a frequent guest on genre podcasts, including one devoted to Dungeons & Dragons.
