Christopher G. Nuttall (born 1982) is a British science fiction and fantasy writer, born in Edinburgh and now based in Malaysia, who has built one of self-publishing's most prolific bibliographies. After studying librarianship in Manchester and working a series of retail and care jobs, he began writing fan fiction set in John Ringo's Posleen universe before turning to original fiction. He is best known for the military science fiction series Ark Royal, following the crew of an aging space carrier thrust back into frontline combat, and The Empire's Corps, chronicling a fractured interstellar empire's collapse from the ground level. His fantasy work includes the portal-school series Schooled in Magic (A Learning Experience) and The Zero Enigma, exploring a secretive magical dynasty. Nuttall publishes on an unusually fast schedule, releases his ebooks without digital rights management, and maintains close, direct engagement with readers through his blog, newsletter, and forums, treating reader feedback as part of his editorial process.
