Craig Spector

Craig Spector is an American horror author, born in 1958 in Richmond, Virginia, who came to prominence in the 1980s as one half of the splatterpunk writing duo Skipp and Spector, alongside John Skipp. Their explicit, high-energy horror collaborations included The Light at the End (1986), The Cleanup, The Scream, Dead Lines, The Bridge, and Animals, as well as the novelization of the film Fright Night and the anthology Book of the Dead, which featured contributions from Stephen King and other major horror writers. The pair also wrote the screenplay for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child before ending their writing partnership in the early 1990s. Spector's fiction is associated with the splatterpunk movement's blend of graphic violence and social commentary.
