Curtis Jobling

Curtis Jobling is a British writer and illustrator born in Blackpool, England. Before turning to fiction he worked as a production designer in children's television, shaping the visual look of Bob the Builder and creating the CBeebies series Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. He is best known for Wereworld, a young-adult fantasy series that opens with Rise of the Wolf and follows warring werelord dynasties across the kingdom of Lyssia; the first book was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. He has since written the horror-adventure series Max Helsing: Monster Hunter, about a teenage monster hunter, and contributed to the World of Warriors franchise. Jobling continues to work as an illustrator alongside his novels and lives in Warrington, England.
