Cynthia Hand

Cynthia Hand is an American author of young adult fiction, born in 1978 in Boise, Idaho. She is best known for the Unearthly trilogy, an urban fantasy series about a girl who discovers she is part angel, beginning with Unearthly (2011) and continuing through Hallowed and Boundless. She is also one-third of a collaborative writing team with Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows, together reimagining historical women's lives with comic, fantastical twists in My Lady Jane (2016) and its sequels, including My Plain Jane, My Calamity Jane, My Contrary Mary, and My Imaginary Mary; My Lady Jane was later adapted into a television series. She has also written the standalone novella The Afterlife of Holly Chase.
