Daniel Humphreys

Daniel Humphreys is an American author working across urban fantasy, horror, and military-tinged speculative fiction. He is best known for the Paxton Locke series -- including Night's Black Agents, Fade, Come, Seeling Night, and The Sacred Radiance -- an occult-detective sequence blending contemporary fantasy with cosmic-horror undertones, and for the Z-Day series, following survivors of a zombie apocalypse across books such as A Place Called Hope, A Place for War, and A Place Outside the Wild. He also writes the Joint Task Force 13 military-horror series and contributes to the shared Hit World fiction universe. Humphreys's work generally pairs fast-moving genre-thriller plotting with supernatural or apocalyptic threat, and he continues to publish across these several ongoing series.
