Daniel Keys Moran

Daniel Keys Moran (born 1962), also known by his initials DKM, is an American science fiction writer and former computer programmer from Southern California. His debut novel, The Armageddon Blues, expanded his first published story into the opening volume of a sprawling future history he calls the Great Wheel of Existence, whose best-known branch, Tales of the Continuing Time, includes Emerald Eyes, The Long Run, and The Last Dancer. He has continued the series intermittently over decades, including The A.I. War and, more recently, The Time Wars, often serializing new installments online. Moran also wrote Star Wars tie-in short fiction for Bantam's Tales anthologies, including stories centered on Boba Fett, one published under the pseudonym J.D. Montgomery after a dispute with Lucasfilm over the story's direction.
