Danielle L. Jensen

Danielle L. Jensen is a Canadian author of fantasy for adult and young-adult readers, based in Calgary, Alberta. She is best known for The Bridge Kingdom series, beginning with the eponymous 2018 novel, which follows a princess sent to marry an enemy king as a spy, and became a number-one New York Times bestseller. Her earlier work includes the Malediction Trilogy, beginning with Stolen Songbird (2014), a romantic fantasy about a woman abducted into an underground troll kingdom, and the Dark Shores series, set in a Rome-inspired fantasy world of magic and empire. More recently she has written Saga of the Unfated, beginning with A Fate Inked in Blood (2024). Jensen's novels have been published in more than twenty languages, and her fantasy romance blends political intrigue with slow-burn relationships between rival factions.
