Danielle Paige is an American author of young-adult fantasy based in New York. Before turning to fiction, she worked in television and received multiple Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her writing. Her first novel, Dorothy Must Die, launched a dark reimagining of The Wizard of Oz in which Dorothy Gale returns to a corrupted Oz under tyrannical rule, and grew into a multi-book series with accompanying novella-length "Dorothy Must Die Stories." Paige has since expanded into further fairy-tale-adjacent fantasy with The Ravens, Stealing Snow, and the Fairy Godmother series.
