David Bruns

David Bruns is an American author with a Bachelor of Science in Honors English from the United States Naval Academy. He served six years as a commissioned officer in the Cold War-era nuclear submarine force before spending two decades as a technology-sector corporate executive, including at a Silicon Valley startup. He has authored more than twenty novels across genres, including the six-book SynCorp Saga, a corporate space-colonization series co-created with Chris Pourteau, and its continuation, The First Swarm War. With retired naval intelligence officer JR Olson, he also writes contemporary national security thrillers addressing nuclear terrorism, cyberwarfare, and bioweapons, including the Command and Control series, which has sold nearly 250,000 copies since its 2022 launch, and standalone titles such as The Pandora Deception.
