David R. Slayton

David R. Slayton is an author of urban fantasy best known for the Adam Binder series, beginning with White Trash Warlock, which follows a working-class protagonist navigating supernatural threats alongside family and identity conflicts, continuing through Trailer Park Trickster and Deadbeat Druid. He also writes The Gods of Night and Day, a fantasy series expanding the same magical world, and the Liberty House books. Slayton's fiction pairs contemporary American settings and blue-collar characters with traditional urban-fantasy magic systems, foregrounding class and queer identity alongside supernatural plotting. He has continued the Adam Binder series with further installments, including Dark Moon, Shallow Sea and Redneck Revenant.
