David Randall

David Randall is an American author born in 1972 in New York City, known for the In the Shadow of the Bear fantasy series for middle-grade and young-adult readers. The sequence began with Clovermead (2004), following a girl raised among bears who discovers her royal heritage and latent magical abilities, and continued through Chandlefort, Sorrel, and Ursus. Randall returned to the same world years later with the Soulfellows sequence, including Soulstone and Cup of Sorrow, extending the series' blend of coming-of-age fantasy, political intrigue, and shapeshifting magic.
