Deborah Turner Harris

Deborah Turner Harris is an American-born fantasy author, born in 1951 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, who lives in Scotland and is married to Scottish author Robert J. Harris. She is best known for her long-running collaboration with Katherine Kurtz, with whom she co-wrote The Adept series, contemporary occult-detective fantasy following a Scottish laird who investigates supernatural crimes, and the Templar Knights books. On her own, she has written the Mages of Garillon trilogy and the Caledon trilogy, secondary-world fantasies exploring magic, kingship, and inherited destiny. Her novels have been reviewed in academic journals covering the fantasy genre, reflecting a career centered on richly researched, tradition-steeped fiction.
