Devin Madson

Devin Madson is an Aurealis Award-winning Australian fantasy author known for grey-morality epic fantasy populated by characters of questionable ethics and sharp, witty banter. She is best known for The Reborn Empire series, beginning with We Ride the Storm, alongside earlier work in The Vengeance Trilogy and The Shattered Kingdom, all set in politically fractured, war-torn worlds where loyalty and morality are rarely straightforward. Madson has described her post-teenage self as having "given up reality" in favor of fiction, comparing her creative approach to an over-leveled, dual-wielding role-playing character who tackles every side-quest before the main story. She sustains herself, by her own account, on tea, chocolate, and copious fried zucchini while continuing to expand her multi-series fantasy world.
