Django Wexler is an American writer of fantasy, born Nicholas Django Wexler in San Francisco in 1981. He holds degrees in creative writing and computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he did postgraduate work in artificial intelligence, and worked as a programmer for Microsoft before turning to fiction full-time. He is best known for The Shadow Campaigns, a "flintlock fantasy" series set in a Napoleonic-styled world of muskets and battlefield sorcery that began with The Thousand Names; later volumes were nominated for the Endeavour and Dragon Awards. He has also written the middle-grade Forbidden Library series, the comic fantasy Dark Lord Davi books, and The Wells of Sorcery trilogy, moving fluidly between adult, YA, and children's fantasy. He lives near Seattle with his wife, fellow author Casey Blair.
