Doug Beason

Doug Beason is an American science-fiction author and retired U.S. Air Force colonel, born in 1953. A physicist and a Fellow of the American Physical Society, he graduated from the Air Force Academy and worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, including as an associate laboratory director for threat reduction, before retiring from government service in 2008 to write full time. Much of his fiction has been co-written, notably his Craig Kreident techno-thriller series and novels such as The Trinity Paradox, Assemblers of Infinity, and Ill Wind with Kevin J. Anderson, and Space Station Down with Ben Bova. He has also received recognition from the National Defense University for his nonfiction writing on science and technology policy.
