Duncan McGeary

Duncan McGeary is an American horror and fantasy author from Oregon whose career stretches back to at least 1980, when he published the fantasy novel Star Axe, followed by Snowcastles in 1981. He returned to fiction decades later with the horror series Tuskers, about mutant boar-like creatures, alongside the alternate-history werewolf novel Led to the Slaughter: The Donner Party Werewolves, the vampire series Vampire Evolution, and the western-horror Greylock books. McGeary's fiction often blends historical American settings, particularly the frontier West, with horror and creature elements. Across five series and twenty titles spanning more than three decades, he has built a distinctive niche mixing regional history with genre horror, though public biographical detail beyond his bibliography and Oregon origin remains limited.
