E. J. Copperman

E. J. Copperman is a pen name of American writer Jeff Cohen, born in 1957 in Irvington, New Jersey. Writing as Copperman, he specializes in light cozy mysteries with a supernatural twist, most notably the Haunted Guesthouse Mysteries, which follow a single mother who can see and talk to the ghosts occupying the New Jersey guesthouse she renovates, in novels including Night of the Living Deed, Chance of a Ghost, and The Hostess with the Ghostess. He also writes the Fran and Ken Stein Mysteries, a comic riff on the Frankenstein story, and the Haunted Paint Store Mysteries. Copperman/Cohen's books are known for blending traditional whodunit plotting with humor and gentle supernatural elements rather than horror.
